Bend, Oregon-based OEM joins prestigious lineup of tech innovators

Bend, ORE. (Sept. 9, 2025) Epic Aircraft, designer and manufacturer of the leading single-engine turboprop, today announced that CEO Doug King and Director of Business Development Tanya Eves will present at TechCrunch Disrupt on October 27, 2025, at Moscone West in San Francisco. The event runs October 27-29, 2025.

“It’s an honor to share our story with one of the most forward-thinking audiences in technology,” said King. “For too long, aviation has been constrained by legacy systems and slow innovation. At Epic Aircraft, we’re showing what’s possible when you embrace change.”

Now celebrating its 20th year, TechCrunch Disrupt — the original startup conference — brings together founders, investors, and innovators shaping the future of technology.

Epic Aircraft received FAA Type Certification for its award-winning E1000 model aircraft in 2019, followed by the E1000 GX in 2021. Most recently, Epic announced yet another certification milestone.

“With the launch and certification of our latest model, the E1000 AX, we’ve seen firsthand the power of automation meeting market demand,” added King. “We posted record sales last quarter, and we’re on track to surpass that in Q3.”

“We’re leveraging AI across design, certification, and support to accelerate development and deliver greater value to our customers,” said Eves, who acquired a majority share of Epic Aircraft, LLC in 2024. “We’re excited to unveil how technology is not only advancing Epic, but reshaping the future of the general aviation market.”
